Hi folks, lets brainstorm some ideas, since I feel kind of stuck about this situation.

Here is short intro: I know this girl for quite a while, but we barelly see each other - just occasionally at some random group meetings or events in my town. I have her number, fb etc and from time to time we exchange some texts etc.

Today I texted her, kind of teasing with just that: "trick or treat "
She responded right away with: "hmmm trick"
Then I texted: "wow you respond so fast, seems like you havent thought about it at all"

and that was it... she didn't respond aftherwords. Perhaps she forgot or most likely she didn't knew what to respond.

So... IDK what best to text her. Goal is to hang out, have fun, and eventually hook up.

So i'll appreciate any suggestions.

I had what to do and wasn't lonely. I knew I had to text her about a week ago, but I forgot, so I remembered today was halloween and decided to text. On my 1st text she responded... but my next text I admit - I screwed...

I texted her 1st - and she replied right away.
progression: I text, she replies, I text back, she doesn't replay.

It's like you built up intrigue in a bad way and then destroyed it in a sloppy way. At least make it funny. The punch line has to be good to the suspense.

Only text her when you have something you need to ask(e.g set up a meet) or something interesting.

Dont text her just to text her.

Texting should be to set up meets, keep you in her mind (not as a boring dude though) or to build some raport.

Wait as long as you want just give her a reason to text back.

Didn't get - should I directly ask for a meeting or ask something randomly and then guide the conversation towards a meeting?

Honestly cant tell you depends on the type of interactions you have. Common sense really how weird do you think it would be for you to randomly ask her to meet?

I'm personally direct with it but because when I get the number I specify that's the reason I'm taking it "I want to get to know you" "wow your fun we should hang out more let me take your number".

Being direct won't work well if for example you have her number because you go to some study group together and never talk .

Well we know each other via common friends. I know what she works, what music likes, some of her interests (because we talked about those). So if that means that know her fairly well. I don't know her deeply. But we have spoken and hang out a bit. And occasionally we text.

So without much chit chatting, better be direct in that case right?
