Sorry for my English, I hope you understand me all the same. I begin to study this language one years ago self-tought in my free-time.

I'm here in this forum because last summer I met a man from US, he was from Colorado, Denver. He wasn't a "boy", he was a "man" about - I suppose - 40 years old and I'm too.
I met him an evening in my city near Venice. He asked me how to go in airport because He losted him-self in the downtown of my city . I cans peak a little english so I didn't Know how help him with the correct street indications, so I offered to bring him in the airport with my car.
We had a short conversation… he was very polite and he thanks me a lot to bring him in the airport (italian men aren’t so kind e polite, in my opinion).
He also left me his contact, but I’m losted it. Sigh.

Aniway, in the little Italian cities you meet only European Turists, American people I suppose prefer to go in the main Italian city (Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice).
So, after this meeting, I became very curios for American culture. On the web I find a lot of informations (about economy, school, food ect.), but I didn't find something specific about men and woman relationships.
I'm conscious that the US is a big country, and it is impossible to generalize. It' wrong. I know a man who lives in NYC is very different (I think) from a man that live in Kansas, for example. I think that est and west coasts are affected by European style, is it?
I would like to talk with someone about Americans who live far from the coast and no. And what you think about Italian men and women.

But there's no certain way men are in America. I think over all dating is more casual than other countries and guys are less gentlemanly. Dating in America is 50-50 so each person has to put in effort.
