Guys this feels strange, if only for being self aware. From a pickup standpoint I've got it made. Let me give some description. I live in Brooklyn but work in Manhattan. I'm in my mid 20s. Bartend full time, am starting my own company aimed at bartending private events. College graduate, looking for something more. Also, I'm very lucky. I was born with a good face and a strong build. If I don't exercise and pay no attention to what I eat I won't be fat just stocky with a strong look (5"9 weighing 175).

Now I'm a handsome bartender. I pull girls with ease and relative frequency. But I'm talking mostly 6 through 8s. Like many I find myself hitting a barrier. What's interesting is I would say I'm more physically attractive than most men, height being my only physical weakness (though 5' 9 isn't short just average). I've noticed I'm more charming when I'm working, or when I'm out and alone surrounded by strangers. I think this is because as a bartender I tell a joke/entertain then walk away (Not something you do normally).Yet I can never pull that 9 or 10. My game is great when it's "on." Yet I am not able to consistently be "on." It's as if I'm manic when I'm in that zone. Total improv. You all know what I mean. Making the goal before throwing the ball, you just know you're in it. I'd love some feedback. I'm a bizzare man. Do any of you guys have trouble telling if you're outgoing or shy? I do! Love the energy of new people, but am very indimidated by groups (specifically female). Yet women don't come to me with difficultly. Writing this I see its inner game. Being "stuck" in my own head. I think being "good" looking has dulled my hunting skills if you will. Anyone in that boat?

Nobody is "consistently" on.

Plus, whatever you consider a 9 or 10 can vastly differ from what I consider a 9 or 10. So yeah it's all in your head.

From the sound of it you're doing fine. You just need to take that extra step and break that mentality that a 9 or 10 is special in some way.
