hi 'm new to this so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

i'm a college student and i went to a school event with my friends. we were all talking and a student worker who was setting up the event noticed my skateboard (i took that as an ioi). she introduced herself and the more we talked the more we moved closer together. I didn't even need to ask for her number, she wanted mine. this is where the problem starts. i had to go, so I put my number in her phone and told her to text me tonight, i didn't get a message but i don't get upset about that stuff. i see her the next day and she said i put in the wrong number so she put her number in my phone saying "now you text me so i don't have to take it personally." I texted her and i got an error message saying the number doesn't exist. she given me enough ioi's to know that she's interested but the problems with our phones might ruin my chance. any suggestions to potentially fix this or not have this happen again.
