Why would someone who has never spoken to you offer you gum? How could you be telling them they have bad breath when you haven't spoken to them? Am I missing something here

I have had a few times when a stranger has offered me gum, say on a train being sat next to each other.

j - isn't tell them they bad breathe, he is just confusing them and making them feel self conscious because why do people tend to chew gum? (Bad breathe)

Oh no, I get the neg, just dont know if you were serious about this being a legit, consistent way to approach. Sure, if a girl is next to you like a bus or train, I can see it coming off believable due to the proximity, but back when I took the bus and train in many cities, I rarely sat next to an attractive female consistently. That's why I'd do direct during the day because indirect setups like this are rare imo. I dunno, I can see the neg in here, but as an opener...i dunno.

Edit, maybe at a parked bar or something. Either way, dont worry about it...I'm exhausted right now
