Today walking down the street I opened an hb7 with my favourite do I look gay opener unaware that I had used the same opener on this same girl only a few days before she called me on it and although she did it in a very polite non-bitchy way I still found myself standing around not knowing what to say next, so what would be the best way to the conversation forward in a situation like that?

Use a different opener. One that isn't known world wide.

Im from South Africa were 10 years behind the rest of the world half our population don't know how to use google

LOL - dude, you asked! And Dragula is right...

Canned openers are ok if you've got nothing else, but even "hi" with a smile can be more effective.

The opener is just not that important.
