Not to be a dick - but you actually require someone to tell you how to respond to this? Maybe you're over-thinking?

Remove the vagina from the situation.... Now: how would you reply?

Or -- I'd probably just laugh, put my phone in my pocket and say no problem. If she's genuinely interested then you don't have anything to worry about.

So why would you expect everyone to like you?

Also, I think "give me your number" is being too 'try hard alpha'

Because, it does sound like an order. I know all the pick up gurus tell you to be like this, but if you're not truly alpha And you're some nerdy looking guy that looks far from alpha. It may clash (hence her reaction)

I like to think the feedback from her response is pretty much self explanatory.

If you're actually alpha, then as Ed suggests, filter those people out of your life.
