I'm going to see FFS (Franz Ferdinand and Sparks) at a gig tonight.

I'm a big fan of Franz Ferdinand but I don't know much about Sparks and my friends a huge Sparks fan.

Can anyone recommend me a good opener I can use at the gig based on this?

Would something like

"Hey guys are you more of a fan of Franz Ferdinand or Sparks? My friends a huge fan of Sparks and I'm more of a Franz Ferdinand fan, we just had an argument over ...."?

Can anyone help out?

you opener seems solid i don't see why it wouldn't work.

i would just say "Hey, Sparks or Franz Ferdinand?.... which one are you looking forward to seeing the most?"

anyway. do not put much value on the opener.

last time i went to see them a lot of gorgeous chicks that go by themselves.
you can just start dancing and pull them with you.
most girls are there to enjoy the show and if you enjoy it with them even better.
