As you know, in the gym everyone has their headphones in, they're in the zone, don't really want to be bothered.
Now, I've made two approaches in the gym, and I'm 0 for 2. I'm a pretty attractive guy, so I have very high standards, both these girls were 9's. The first time, I opened direct, "said I thought she was fucking phenomenal" and had to go up and talk to her, we introduced ourselves, and right away I tried to close with "well, I'm gonna let you go back to doing your thing, but first I need to grab your number. You don't look like a dinner and movie type of girl, so let me take you on a hike sometime." She said she doesn't give her number out at the gym... Second girl was the same exact thing, except I opened with "Alright, so, I've caught you staring at me like 5 times now, and thought I might as well say hi." Then from there it was the same intro, and straight into the same canned close I used on the first girl. This time she said she wasn't interested in dating anyone right now.
I'm sure it's wishful thinking if I were to truly believe that the first girl never gives numbers out at the gym, and the second girl really wouldn't date anyone at the moment. I know there's more I could do. Is it possible to close as quickly as I'm trying, or should I build more rapport? It's just that I feel like I'm being annoying if a gym interaction is too long.
What do you guys do for gym game??

Answer; Who said anything about dating? Hanging out with a new friend isn't dating.

P.S. Gym game is tough, girls are there to get a workout in, respect that.
