I'm going to introduce myself and tell my story about how I came across this forum as briefly as I can, if anybody is interested. If you don't wanna read the story, just jump to the end of the post. I've just realized it became quite long.
I'm 31 years old and recently went through the toughest breakup I've ever had. After a three years relationship I asked a girl to marry me and she said no, even though I was almost convinced she was going to say yes. At the time I had just moved to Madrid, Spain and had very little, or practically no friends at the time, so my relationship with my ex was the only real connection I had, and it was a long distance relationship. I let myself get encapsulated in the relationship for six months and I now realize that was a huge mistake.
One month after the breakup, I found myself with no friends and heartbroken in a strange city. Luckily, a good city to pick up girls! An old friend from high school came to visit me from USA for a week to give me moral support, and we were out picking up girls, or "sarging" (though I didn't know the term back then). I didn't think it was that easy to talk to girls! At least it seemed so easy for him, I thought he had no shame. Talked to the girls, they were startled at first but eventually ended up giving their phone number and were ready to meet up later. He left me with several contacts and after he left I was able to call them up for drinks etc., but I'm still not so skilled at opening girls, specially because I don't have a wingman yet. I'm not gonna use it as an excuse, but surely it would make things easier.
So my friend recommended I read "The Game" by N. Strauss, (I'm quite sure some of you guys know it by heart). After I read it three things happened:
1. I learned so much about seduction and about things I was doing right without realizing, which eventually got me to connect naturally with amazing girls, one of them my ex
2. I realized how many things I was doing wrong, and the probable cause for my current and past breakups
3. I thought: even though there is a lot of truth in this book, it's very unlikely things are really that easy!
Naturally I got curious, and I started watching videos by Richard la Ruina and Kezia Noble, reading other blogs and eventually stumbled upon this forum, while I was actually looking to hook up and meet PUAs in Madrid.
Here I found a lot of interesting posts, and so I decided to join.
So, that's how I got into "the game", if I can consider I'm into it. It has been three weeks since I read that book and started investigating about books and seduction methods. I can't say I've adopted a method, since I don't really have a proper routine, but in three weeks I have made out with 5 girls, out of 8 nights in total I went out. So I'm not a lost cause, it's just that I feel that I'm always hooking up with girls more or less of the same level: pretty, but not stunning gorgeous. I want to be able to seduce women that are "out of my league". I'm tired of settling for whichever girl decides to be with me. I want to be the one choosing, so I want to figure how to do that. It would be the best way to
stop needing a girlfriend because it's a safe thing, but rather switching to
having a girlfriend because she deserves to be my girlfriend and she is outstanding from the other girls. Not because I want a super hot girlfriend necessarily, but because I don't want to miss on those either. I feel like I'm hitting only on the 50% of the possibilities out there.
I would like to join the community and learn from the posts and eventually be able to find other PUAs in the zone to meet personally and ask for advice. Once I will consider myself qualified, I would be happy to offer it as well!
