There's heaps of info on how to do things yourself, routines, dhv etc etc... But what if there was a friend that I wanted to wing? How do I go about doing that? Do I just talk them up? But that could be a bit transparent: "oh you should really get to know Ed, he's awesome" type thing...

Any tips anyone?

For different winging methods I would recommend reading the Venusian Arts Handbook for a couple of methods. On of the ones I frequently use is if my buddy is in a set I'll walk over. He'll face and greet me. I say, "How do you guys know xxx?

Another one that KinoEscalator and I use is the "Have you seen Michelle method?" Just walk over and use the line. If the PUA wants you there he'll say, "No" if he doesn't want you there he'll say, "Yeah she went that way." Which basically means I'm not ready for you and to come back.

From there you're only job as a wing is to occupy the obstacles. Do not give the target any attention.

I like to be friendly, but basically make it clear that I'm not the one for the girl and say all sorts of good stuff about the guy I'm winging.

Your goal is to just be social proof basically. If you're a cool person, then they look good by association and if you help by talking about how awesome he is, then the rest is up to him.
