Well she is stubborn and kind of dumb but she knows I am not the type that shows off . So If I text her and send a pic of the movie theater or my gym so she gets the idea I am busy , she tends to start bitching about how I show off like a 10 year old . She had a friend who used to show off a lot but she is soo dumb she thinks everyone shows off or something . I can't share a single thing without giving her the vibe I am showing off . Is she really dumb or is there something I am missing out on ?

You aren't being yourself if you're just putting on an act to get the reaction you want. It's not honest, and it's a waste of time.

You can't change the girl. Find another.

Ask yourself if you respect this one to begin with. You're calling her a stupid brat... Do you believe you can do better than a stupid brat you don't respect?

You seem frustrated.

If I get unexpected reactions I laugh it off. Because her perception of my intentions is just completely off. You on the other hand are affected by it, which suggests you were in fact trying to impress, at least to some degree.

It isn't an act and I am frustrated because of the many times of laughing off her misplaced reaction .Is it her or is it me ? You guys seem divided ... Could this be some sort of insecurity from her part ? Whoever it is what can I do ?

First you make sure (without bullshitting yourself) this doesn't come from you.

Once you're certain of that move yourself to higher quality women who aren't a chore to converse with. This shit's supposed to be enjoyable. Fix your problems, but don't try doing other people's jobs.

Aka if she's dumb she's dumb. Find someone who isn't if you have a problem with that.

The message received is the the meaning of your communication - maybe she is dumb, but it doesn't matter if you communicate in an effective way. The responsibility to communicating what you want (in this case probably not bragging) is on you. Try something new to get a new result.

I've recently been in a situation with someone who kept saying the same dumb thing over and over again. When they finally got what I was saying and admitted they were wrong, they reverted to going back and saying the same dumb thing. There are some people that just want to live in the fiction that they've made up in their head.
