Too much fat, not enough confidence

Hey guys, i've started working out several years ago and i lost many fat, but never got the sweet abs or flat belly that everyone dreams of. Right now, my friend, who started working out 3 monthes ago with a personal trainer, has lost alot of weight and gained some muscle (his a beginner so it's easier) and he even started talking about abs.
it really annoys me that he does that so fast, do you think that abs and muscles can determine if a girl will go out with a guy or not?

I would say it helps a lot (after losing it all due to me going on an extended travel, I have gained 10 kgs of lean muscle mass within one year, and the amount of time I get blown out has become SO much smaller. Not that I care, since I have a girlfriend anyway, but when talking to girls, I will immediatly get mad IOIs, and I can easily get away with a lot of shit).

You have been working out for years yet have no abs? Let me assure you, one or more of those is shit:
- Your workout plan
- Your diet
- Your testosterone levels

I've always been convinced my weight issues have been relevant, but they aren't. Lose weight because you care about your health and want to challenge yourself- don't do it because you think you'll be more attractive. Attraction comes from our intrinsic values, not our superficial traits. Reinforce your value on a regular basis to remind yourself that you are attractive not because how you look, but instead because how you act and what you do for others.

No ones getting laid just because they have Ab's.

External things can only amplify the game that is already present, it doesn't magically give you game. Even if a girl walked up to you and said " I like your abs" you wouldn't be able to turn that into lay unless you've developed the required social skills.

Maxxing out your looks is essential to get best results...and that includes having some muscle...a 6 pack can help too. I've encountered lots of women who've gone wild just because I was ripped abs. Pardon me for being a Geordie Shore wannabe but women like it, a lot. It's kind of like perfect tits on a girl for us, just to a lesser degree as we're more visually aroused than them. It's a nice secret to have though, when I am dancing with a girl I like to place her hand towards my ab and let her get a good feel. As Jack said, it cannot hurt.

To get abs...it's all about caloric deficit. Eat less calories than your maintenance. Eat little to no carbs. Ditch the brown rice, the sweet potato and the cereal, Eat carbs from the likes of green veggies and some fruit.

Give Intermittent Fasting a go. It's very very effective and when you match it with carb backloading you'll lose fat shockingly fast. You will struggle to put on any muscle size though, but you will get ripped as hell.

How do you feel about SPAM?
SPAM is great but it is hard as hell. I crave pasta and wraps a lot anyway, so with SPAM it's added hell for me....but I still do strict SPAM from time to time...but IF and carb backloading has been more efficient for me in the long run. I'm not competing or anything so whatever is most efficient for my day is what I do. It's also expensive enough to do strict SPAM for a long while..and I'm in uni so that cannot work :lol:

Ahh I hear you! I'm at school too, but i commute so it's definitely easier for cooking obviously. They do make low carb, high fiber tortillas which have been a god send for me though!
