Just got in from my 8:00pm night class and there was this girl I have either never noticed before or just transfered in. For the last 30 minutes of class the professor wanted to try a game to see our understanding of the "ripple effect" in society. The class deals with Law and Social control, so he splits the class into two sides and we all grab chairs and I sit down and look over and there is this....lets say...HB 7 sitting right next to me. Out of the corner of my eye I see her looking in my direction several times, and then messing around with her hair and moving her posture to face more towards my desk. I pay her no attention and the exercise begins. The idea was that he would name a particular subject, for the sake of example, lets say Michael Jordan. He picks a team and each member of the team has to name a person/organization/entity that is effected by Michael Jordan. An example would be Nike, because they make money off his shoe contracts they sign with him. Hope you all follow. So she was the last to go on our team, our topic was March Madness basketball. She had no idea what this was obviously and for those of you who don't it is the college basketball finals, so she leans over to me and tells me to give her one.

I tell her, "Ticket sales of the NBA teams"

She accepts it with gratitude and a big smile, little did she know it was not only a wrong but a funny answer.

She blurts out to the teacher the answer and the class begins to burst out in laughter. She had no idea that we were talking about college basketball and the NBA is a completely different league so I made her look like a tool, since she said it with such confidence.

The next time we have to go our topic was who is affected by the adoption of a child. Our team went around a few times and I was honestly at a loss for my next answer. She asked me what I was going to say and I said something that wasn't going to work...Then asked her what hers was, and it was pretty good. So when he calls on me I stole hers, she immediately kicks me desk and gives me this cute but I'm mad at you stare. She was unable to get an answer formulated and tried to use my dumb one that didn't apply. The teacher once again shoots her down and the team looses because of her. She keeps engaging in small questions and whatnot while class is going on and the other team is playing. When class ended, I got right up and walked out without even looking at or saying goodbye to her. Once out of the building I slow my pace down and figure she will be going out the same door towards the parking lot. I hear my name, which she must have learned from hearing the teacher say it cause I sure as fuck didn't know hers.

HB7 - "So where do you live?"
Me - "On campus in the apartments."
HB7 - "You live on campus and you drove here?"
Me - "Nope."
HB7 - "Then why are you walking to the parking lot"
Me - "I wanted to see if you'd come running to catch me"
HB7 - "You asshole. I didn't come running to catch you!"
Me - "Sure looks like you did..."

I begin to change my path and she starts to laugh

Me - "Whats funny about stalking me?"
HB7 - "Your an asshole, but a cute one. Do you want a ride to your apartment, its cold out."
Me - "I have a coat on, besides I don't get in cars with strangers, especially with rugged looking ones."
HB7 - "Shut up and come with me, I live on campus too."
Me - "Now who's a hypocrite?"
HB7 - Giggle Giggle

So I go with her, and get the number close before she drops me off in my court, HOOK LINE AND SINKER.

Comments? Anyone think I was pushing my luck with how far I was taking the asshole comments?

Very good point you brought up Jacked. I used to have the same problem, would always follow through with an "im just kidding" or "just joking". My solution to that is when you feel like your going to loose the frame, instead of saying something like that...I just let out a big smile or grin that suggests I'm only kidding but still allows you to hold your frame. Very good point.
