Guys in an LTR: Say you are in the early phases, like within a year of meeting a girl. She does things that are outside your boundaries, but then you define them and she never does them again.

The problem is, the stuff she said was pretty bad. Things like head games, things about previous boyfriends to get you jealous, things about other guys, ect......things that make you RESENTFUL


Should you just have a strong inner game since this was such a long time ago to get over the resentment? Know that it is in a woman's nature to test your boundaries or get you to put your foot down to lay down the law?

What if those things still haunt you, from years ago? Is the only option to find a new girl?

This question isn't all of that clear.

I think you should provide your entire story first. Tell us about your situation, how it started, what happened and where is it at now.

Because to me it just sounds like you are developing oneitis. You are growing overly attached. And now your looking for things to justify your emotion. But thats just what I can pick up from the information that you have provided here. So if you can agree that you have oneitis you don't even need to provide any additional information; leaving would be your best option.

bad behavior early, that was (in all fairness) somewhat returned or started by my bad behavior.

essentially, shit she said BACK THEN pisses me off NOW even when the growing up was done by both sides after a conversation way back in the day.

Two monks were walking down the path back to their monastery after collecting alms that day. They reached a river where a woman was standing, not wanting to get wet. A few hours later when the monks reached the monastery, the other monk couldn't take it anymore and exclaimed "You really should not have done that. Finding a new girl won't solve your problem, because your girl isn't the problem - you are.

Let go mate. Should I break out my violin to lament how your delicate ego was bruised? A man has more important things to do than dwell over stupid stuff. Aww, you can't handle your girl's past? You can't stay stoic and courageous in the face of her tests? She'll find a man who can - trust me.

I'm not saying this to get in your face, but you clearly need some tough love.

Gentlemen, this is not a romantic comedy where the lovable loser will get the girl in the end. THIS IS REAL LIFE. She wants a MAN. A man who can handle her, who has values and passions that rule his life. A man who has no time to get overly emotional and butthurt over nonsense. In short, she wants a man who makes her feel like a woman!

Snap out of it mate... Or don't, but you'll never be happy with any girl if you don't.

Thanks for that. But what I think I have left out is, while I told her I don't want to resent my GF (and nothing more), and she has said "do you not want to be with me? do you not love me?" ect. and I said "I want to be with you, if I didn't I would make the decision right away."


She is going into full supplication mode. She is like I will do ANYTHING to make you happy, don't break up with me, I think we have moved passed that and anything we talked about I haven't done again. I love you so much blah blah

If she is hot...they will ALWAYS going to play those little games...it's in their
nature to test you.

A) Work on your self esteem...so these kind of things don't phase you
B) Don't date hot chicks
