Hey there guys!

I've recently been extending my game towards trying to get social proof going on in clubs. One of the ways to do this is to say cheers to everyone with a smile and everything that goes with it (Gambler suggested this in a conference on youtube). I've tried that tonight and it feels like I'm doing it wrong. Very wrong....

I got a lot of guys pushing me away, looking angrily at me. I kept smiling and acting calm, but I knew I was in trouble. It happened in 3 venues and I don't know whats wrong with it. Is it just not accepted to do this or am I simply doing it wrong?

I smile at people, raise my glass to them, call out cheers with a happy voice and see if they want to knock the glasses together. (I'm drinking plain water though to keep my senses heigtened. So no, I'm not drunk.)

Sounds like you're being TOO friendly and TOO energetic here.

How are you approaching them? Where are you in relation to these guys? Are you standing next to them at the bar or do you walk over to a group of guys with your glass out?

If a guy RANDOMLY walked up to me and starting "cheersing" then I'd be wierded out myself.

You gotta make the experience feel organic and NOT preplanned.

This helps a lot, I think I was too energetic looking back at it.

I was approaching them, not by walking over. The place was very crowded and I just cheersed everyone in my path towards the set I wanted to open.
