A few weeks ago my gf broke up with me, at this time I was not in a good place, hated my life, my job, had put on 50 pounds within a year and at the time I even took her for granted as all i ever saw was a girl madly in love with me, but one that I didn't commit too, probably as I was depressed.

Anyway, havn't spoken to her since and blocked all contact, she messaged me a couple of times asking why im not talking to her, i ignored her. I changed my whole life style to what I want, got a new job, lost weight etc....

I would usually say just move on and find someone else, I feel as though I am over her and could move on if i found someone else, however there was a strong chemical bond between us and I can see her as a woman I would spend the rest of my life with happily.

Seems like you still need to tweak your mindset. Love is one hell of a drug and that ending line suggests that you can revert back to your old ways. You can get her back...but I'd go with why.

That chemical bond is "self induced".

You can feel that way about pretty much anyone if you "convince" yourself. As you're probably already doing with your thoughts about this girl.

Not to mention you only feel this way because currently there is no one else. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Thats all this is. Theres nothing wrong with getting back with her if you think it through and see thats what you want, but if you get out there and find someone else, you'll realize just how fleeting these feelings can be.

You're not balanced right now though. You'd have to wait a week or so before the time to reach out would be proper.
