Hey guys!

Since this is my first post on this forum, I thought I might as well use it to introduce myself. I'm a 23 year old guy living in the sin-city of Europe: Amsterdam. Throughout my entire life, I have been quite naturally able to relate and have fun, of all sorts, with girls. I guess it has something to do with my upbringing, during which my father was always very flirty and playfull with my mother (in between fights, that is...).

Girls have always been some of the main factors of pleasure in my life, as I have always found that they project a unique energy which really contributes to a fun and balanced environment for me. That is... untill I met "the ex". To keep a long story short; she and I were totally not fit for each other, yet deeply in love, we dated for far too long and stuff became really serious and then, once I let my guard down for a split-second, I got dumped under the worst possible conditions. Rookie mistake, I know.

This kind of put me in a vulnerable position. I was quite heartbroken, but my extremely intense job didn't give me the time to recuperate from it. This really messed up my internal congruence and led to a very destructive mind-set and some nasty habits. On the upside however: I am now again in a nice place mentally, working on myself and my positivity (with nice results), working out and approaching girls again.

Since I was a little bit rusty however, after quite some months of self-loathing (never again), I discovered the pick-up community by reading the "Tao of badass". I thought it was an entertaining read, but I really loved to have some deeper awareness. Thus, I am now immersing myself in the study of body-language (by reading "Emotions Revealed" by Paul Ekman and observing people) and meditation.

Apart from that, I would love to meet some like-minded guys or girls who are down to par-tay (as my friends, whom I love very much, are a little bit more stuck in their old ways) and who are open-minded towards developing themselves further in this area of their lives. Please remember.... I live in AMSTERDAM!

So do you guys have any advice? Do you want to meet-up? Any recommended reads/practices? Keep it coming!

Welcome to the forum! That's great you're in a good mental state as it will help you progress faster and further in game. Feel free to ask any questions here as many people are willing to help. There are lot's of good books out there to help you with game and psychology. Being self-aware and managing your emotions while reading other people and leading social interactions is important. You can read Emotional Intelligence, by Daniel Goleman, to get more of a grasp on social dynamics and the motivations behind our emotions.

Thanks man! Really nice advice. I will take a look at it. Have you read "The Game"? Is it worth reading if you already read the tao?

"The Game" is good for entertainment purposes and motivation to improve, but it doesn't really contain any practical advice. Plus much of the game theory/application is outdated. I used to read a bunch of "PUA" books, but found much more value in reading scientific psychology and evolutionary biology books, like the one I mentioned.

That sounds really sensible. I think those types of books have a much wider applicability than the pure "PUA"-books, which makes them more appealing to me.

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but how can methods on such a primal thing as seducing girls be "outdated". I can imagine that what worked 200.000 years, or maybe even 50 years, ago isn't really what gets the job done now, but the world hasn't changed THAT much since "the game" was released, right?

I saw your PM first and answered your question there in more detail, but I'll give an abridged version here. There are more effective methods of game that are simpler in practice and get more results with less effort. Using more natural and investment game builds attraction faster and gets the girl chasing you sooner.

Yes, I saw your reply. Really nice website you have there! To be honest, it makes perfect sense. Reflecting on my past experiences in successful "natural"/"unaware" game, this was exactly what I was doing.

I guess that keeping girls guessing on whether they are really interpreting the sexual signals they are getting correctly eventually makes them wish they are! Something like that...
