This may seem like a stupid question, so bear with me?

I always see posts on here saying 'we've been flirting for x days' etc but no one actually says what they are doing to flirt. Even when I'm out with my friends, they will say they are going to flirt with the bar chick, but I never see them do anything that looks like flirting, or they flirt with friends?

Has anyone got good examples? In my mind, it feels like something that you do all at once i.e meet the girl on the night, and continue flirting, making the convo sexual etc, rather than a 'we've known each other for about 4 months and occassionally flirt'

Flirting is the act of generating attraction through some verbal of behavioral acts. This could be breaking rapport, teasing, takeaways, disqualification, etc.

Flirting is playing with tension. Sometimes verbal, sometimes with body language, and sometimes with just pure energy.

Any type of communication you make with a girl who you have an sexual interest in that also has a sexual interest in you can honestly be considered flirting. Its just a term for playing with sexual tension while building rapport. Banter can be flirting if it with a girl you're sexually interested in. But you can also banter with you make friends and its not flirting because there is no sexual tension.
