But then it starts to die down and a girl I picked up doesnt even respond anymore; she did for like a day. So, I was thinking; should I act like I dont have a lot of interest; or rather than chatting with her, ask her out on date super quickly right away. I never get passed the phase of closing. So any tips for me afterwards. I also sometimes ask a girl to facetime me, so i can get to know her, so should i wait until the date?

This shows you that there is no point in long texting. Get straight to the point. Meet up with her. One or two texts of reopening and then say, "I'm going to X, join me" and set up the day 2.
