Went out clubbing with some friends: I open a mixed 3 set with 1 guy a HB 7 and a UG. I game the group for a couple of minutes with some DHV stories. I cocky funnyly negged the target and when her two friends went out to smoke. I isolated her at the bar.

We fluffed for a while and I tried to escalate afterward. We talked about beauty and I tried this new routine in which we have to describe somtehing beatiful in each others face. I went first by telling her she has two cute moles next to her nose that make me remind her of Cindy Crawford. When it was her turn, something weird happened.

She said she likes my nose, but the routine made her emotionally aware of the attraction or something. It was weird. It was like she was waking up from a dream; "i'm sorry", she stammered, "I just broke up and cannot do this!"

I was kind of shocked. SHe epxlained earlier to me that she had 3 LTR's that lasted 3 years. SInce she spoke in pasted tense, i took this as a passive IOI, because the statement let me know she is single.

Needless to say: the escalation moment was over and I was instantly friend zoned... end of set.

How could I have handled this better? Could I have turned her emotional state (not being over her ex-bf) around to my advantage, use a BF destroyer? Has anyone ever encountered this? Some advice would be useful!
