But I was a total AFC dork and I found myself firmly entrenched in LJBF world. I don't particularly care if nothing comes of it, but I figured it's worth a shot and it would give me some sense of accomplishment over my former geeky college self. So... my question to you... is how would you go about reestablishing contact with someone you haven't talked to in years while at the same time conveying a more confident self.

I would say approach the situation like you would with any other girl. If you leave her a message include a playful neg and some dhv just to get the ball rolling.
