I've been single and separated now for about two months after getting out of a terrible, toxic marriage, which I had been in for 20 years.

I've been recently introduced to the idea of "game." I've been reading intensely, watching a lot of RSD videos, started reading Neill Strauss' "The Game" (I know, not a guidebook, but still interesting). Anyways, I think this is what I need to dedicate myself to right now during this phase of my life. Over the past few days I've been trying to notice my body language, I've been saying "hello" to random attractive women in the street, trying to begin to start breaking down my AA. I also know I have escalation anxiety as well, and demonstrating intent to a woman I just met - also difficult. Internal game stuff I need to start working on, now.

I would very much like to be comfortable within the next few months to a year practicing day game and night game, and have it be something I just do. I am willing to make this a priority in my life. I am considering investing some money in a coach - although with the divorce money is tight right now. Anyways, this is hugely important to me.

I look forward to posting more here and benefitting from the experience of others.

3. If you have issues or ideas, then pose these thoughts in a form of a question and create a thread. As a 40 year old, regardless of your lack of pick up experience, you will be able to detect the BS of mentally retarded kids who are locked up in their mommy's basement. filter the shit on your own
4. Having lived with a woman for that long, you'll recognize tendencies, patterns, and habits.
5. Exactly as what's written in the "game", there is an open. . . some bs in the middle, and a close. The idea is to funnel all conversation and behavior down a narrow funnel that end with the close you have in mind.

What area of pick up interests you the most? Night game? Day game? I'll list what I'd consider the essentials, tailor them to yourself.

1. How to Win Friends and Influence People - Dale Carnegie. About 90 years old, and still the best thing I've ever read. It's more about interactions in general than it is about picking up girls, but you'll benefit a lot from it, believe me.

2. Richard La Ruina aka Gambler - he doesn't have any infield videos, but he does have a YouTube with some good advice on it, primarily for night game. I rate his books more than his videos, though.

3. Adam Lyons (YouTube) - he doesn't post as good as he used to, but there are some great videos on his channel

4. RSD - you're already there so I wont explain

5. Jason Capital - Imagine a mixture of Adam Lyons and RSD Julien. I'm not sure you'd be into his material, as it's more "I'm the arrogant guy that gets every girl at college" kind of game. However, he does give some great tips lol. Encourages you to overachieve.

6. Work out. Get in shape. It doesn't have to cost money for a gym membership - do bodyweight exercises, and go for a walk for 1 hour every morning on an empty stomach. Watch the transformation

7. That money for a coach, spend it more wisely. Get a new hairstyle, some new clothes, some new cologne. Completely transform yourself. Get your teeth whitened.

8. Focus on your life goals. Maybe short term ones like quitting smoking, if you smoke. Also long ones like getting a degree (just examples, but obviously use your own; they encourage passion and mission, which women find HIGHLY attractive)

Each to their own, though.
