Hi I am Tigger from South Africa. just recently discovered the world of The PUA. What I really struggle with is approach anxiety, so hoping to get some good ideas how to overcome this and also get some ideas on openers.

Im fairly new to PU too. I know how you feel.

The way I overcame AA, is through the use of a wingman. Having an extra guy with you kind of relieves the pressure of speaking to a girl (or girls) by yourself. If your wing is good you should be able to avoid the moments of awkwardness and keep the process in check, its also good to have someone there to indirectly cheer you on.

What also helped me was writing field reports, so like noting down all the positives and negatives from your interaction with a girl, so that next time you know what you need to work on.

any compliment is good to use as long as it is not on her physical looks (hey nice ass, etc.)

a functional opener like "excuse me do you have the time?"

opinion opener such as "what do you think is better here the mocha or the coffee?"

observational opener such as "its bloody hot in this place" or any other observation you would predict would be something someone would say, you are just thinking out loud

Everyone has pretty much had or still does have AA so you're certainly not alone. You will see it mentioned numerous times throughout the site. The majority point to the same solution man, approach, approach approach, the more you do it the less you will fear it and the better you will become. There's no other way round it sadly. However some good mindset adjustments can go a long way, just remember you won't succeed every time, but does she know you well enough to be rejecting YOU hell no man she just has a small impression of you, she doesn't know what an awesome person you are and how you could enrich her life. Some girls will only have 1 type, be in relationship, be into girls, you can't take the rejection to heart, it's her loss!

Read the Conquering approach anxiety by Don garcia (type it into google) that will really help man i found it awesome.

Don't just approach girls though man, approach everybody talk to everyone and improve your social skills and it will get easier and you will kill it.

As you're just getting into it I'd recommend to read The Game, The art of seduction by Robert Greene and the pickup artist by mystery for the basics!
