Your girlfriend is probably like most girls and is attracted to the guys that don't show too much interest in her. If she wanted to go find a guy that would date her and never break up with her, she could find that in a heart beat. That clearly wasn't what she wanted at that time. She wanted guys that were already in relationships and she wanted sexual relationships, most likely with guys that made it obvious to her that it was just sex.

When she relays this to you, don't expect honesty. Or to put it more frank, she might be telling you what she thinks is the truth, but it's not.
