Simple question: what are the indicators of an "Alpha" male and a "Beta" males.

I sort of already have the idea but a clear description would be helpful

How can you tell either one from a crowd

Why do some women prefer betas over an alpha?

They don't "prefer" them don't get it twisted just because you see a hot girl with one of those guys. Women need and want sex just as much if not more than men. Most if not all of the men that they are surrounded by are betas. I just got a great explanation from PUA Kenny.

Remember guys select women. Women don't live in our world of abundance (sarging and what not) so they pretty much have to accept what is given to them. The 99% beta males.

BTW Alpha doesn't mean like you're some Brock Lesner like monster riding a white horse and hacking off heads with a big ass sword. It's just a mentality. Are you weak and submissive or do you have a backbone?

Alpha:
Confident
Follows own goals
Knows how and when to take charge
Makes the "perfect" moment
Typically the thinking type as alpha's are mentally strong
Pleases woman by being himself and taking charge

Beta:
Not necessarily unconfident but not always gleaming with courage
Follows other's goals
Tend to be more submissive
Doesn't leave comfort zone and waits for the "perfect" moment
Typically the feeling type as betas can easily be broken down mentally
Goes out of way to please woman by buying her things and virtually allows himself to get stepped on

The list goes on and on but I covered a good chunk of the basics IMO. Alpha's are the leaders while beta's are the followers.

As a former beta, its playing it safe, fence sitting rather than stating your claim, and really going for it. Unapologetic is the best I hear it described in pickup. A recent approach involved a woman saying something about being single. The only natural response from a alpha male was that, ¨we should go out sometime.¨ The response was her giving out her number, stating her schedule, and responding to my message later that day immediately.

If you enter into a more alpha male state of stating your desires, being a man that makes unapologetic moves, you will take the prize. Something I have observed in women is that, they get really fucking nasty to betas, and zeta males. Men who fence sit. Men who will not make the move. Men who are socially awkward or always giving them some sappy name and showing a very weak frame of reality. Betas usually do poor with women cause, a lot of women have low self esteem, and alphas have no issue with destroying their self esteem if needs be. Quite frankly, I am not the type to do that but, I have watched many women respond quite well to their self esteem getting obliterated. Women taking their clothes off and getting naked cause a man is a real asshole with her. Something about frame control, ripping through her shit test, and dominating her sense of reality that, she is not some special snowflake that needs cherishing. I still have trouble understanding it but, I watched a natural do it, and I was blown away.

Everyone talks, alpha, beta but, there is more to it. The paradigm is much more complex. Some males who were never alpha step up later in life. Other males who were alpha later find love, get married, become emasculated, turn into a man-gina, become beta, and things go south.

I advise signing up for a boxing, Muay Thai, or MMA gym. When you work in an office full of pussies that do nothing but attend happy hour and watch football and share buzzfeed articles on Facebook, you're bound to become pussified and lose your alpha. But when you're around fighters at night and become a fighter yourself it carries into your daily life and when you're out at night. If you're not one for the psychological games to get your mind into an alpha male's, just start training to fight and watch it come naturally.

there is a lot of beating alpha to death the way of a dead horse. this is not to take away anything you said. Alpha gets beat to death. Zyzz was loved by women but, he was far from alpha. It could be martial arts or mma classes but, you could be a zeta who just goes your own way. He may enjoy dance classes or musical instruments. It does not necessarily have to be a alpha or hyper alpha masculine behavior. Interestingly, we saw JB get slammed by radical third wave feminists. The behavior seems to get him laid.

There was a post about pua not being the most productive or efficient way to meet women. Then again, neither is online dating or sitting passively and just waiting they way man is usually taught growing up and being a nice boy.

I think the zeta male paradigm should be looked at more closely. There is Sexodous or MGTOW, a variety of men who are going their own way. Granted, a bunch are a bit loony. Some swear off women, some take a more fwb approach and avoid the entire societal narrative of marriage all together. I do not know enough about it but, I do know that I am really busy at this stage in my life. I am in a trade school, finishing up, and closing in on my ticket. I intend to start a business following this. I am doing jobs through my apprenticeship and I am working on building up cliental on the side. Once I really start making money, I would like to be settled as, I feel I cannot trust a woman afterward. Its that point of no return. By busying myself, I have no time for flaky girls, women with children, women who have no ambitions or just want to have gangbangs and do cocaine in the toilet.

Most men are BETA when it comes to women. NOT MONEY. Men can be financially successful and ALPHA
in the money world, and BETA with women.

Alpha - Confident with everything (or at least projects it)
Beta - Uncertain of themselves/low self esteem, expects sympathy from women.

It's pretty simple but most men do not have confidence with women. They just don't. It will always be that way.

alpha and beta are all relative terms. Plenty of guys are alpha in one subgroup but beta in another and vice versa.

This is how I think of it as well. But I do disagree with the feeling part being beta. That more belongs to personality type. But betas are more insecure so it is easy to hurt their feelings.
