Hi guys,
Could you help me in picking some books for my brother?
He is 19 and half way through his first year in airospace engineering and coming home for the holidays.

So for fun too, which 3 books do you wish you had read at 19 and why?

Also it would be awesome if you could include any books on meditation.

None of the 3 books I would recommend are pickup books, but they are so relevant to pickup.

1) My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday. Made me realise how fucking horny women really are. Really helped my approaches going into sets as horny as a dog, thinking about how much these girls fantasise about COCK.

2) Radical Honesty by Dr. Brad Blanton. Basically opens your eyes to how much you lie every day, not just to other people, but also to yourself.

3) Five Rings by Musashi. Written by an ancient Japanese swordsman undefeated in 60 duels. This guy killed / maimed his opponents by outwitting them. This is more of a Buddhist themed book which teaches you how to become a one-man army. This was huge for building an unshakeable frame and my solo game.

I probably would recommend one pickup book. Namely, 60YOC. I was ok with grasping body language and approach signals, but it took years before I totally got it. Especially the difference between passive interest and true sexual interest. I wasted a lot of time in my teens and early twenties on girls who were mildly interested, but not really DTF at all(same night, or even weeks later).

After that, Differentiate or Die. It's a book about marketing, but honestly applies to everything in life. Whether it's business relations, friends, dating or even family.

I was always intuitively good with probabilities. But if you're not, The Signals and the Noise from Nate Silver will teach you more about how to distinguish between patterns and randomness than anything you'll ever read. Probabilities are so important to maximizing efficiency in life. It's honestly one of the most important skills you can ever learn.

As Hunter mentioned, My Secret Garden is a good book, that any man should read.

It's a great book. Have you read the male version she did? It just reinforces how into sex women are, I can't recall the title but the male version is incredibly dull.

For me:

1. Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. I never got the film until I read the book. It changed my outlook on life, stop chasing bullshit, all the crap that society tries to tell you and sell you. Be your own man and fuck conformity.

2. Sinful Sex by Pam Spurr. A really simple guide to good sex.

3. Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter Thompson. No matter how much you think you know how to live it up, you'll never get to the levels of Raoul Duke and Dr Gonzo.
