The internet is a dominant 21st century media like newspapers or magazines were in the 20th century. Someday another dominant media will likely come into being, but yes indeed of course passive income online or off - just like active income or semi-passive income - is very real and is obviously never going away.
Some would prefer to be content than overworked. This choice does not mean there is an income limit if proper systems are put in place. Often, the ability to use such systems or to obtain passive income is the result of a shit ton of VERY HARD WORK as some are alluding to in this thread.

"I became the typical institutionalized, educated Western man…. I got credentialed in both neurology and psychiatry. I had a full practice and was going to all these different hospitals and doing very well. It was kind of the zenith of my masculinity. I was in the cafeteria line behind an old man who was all bent over, and I’d asked him how old he was, and he said he was 93…. I said, “How does a strapping young man get to be an old codger like you?” And he looked at me and said, “Do what you want to.” I was thinking this old man made more sense to me than anything I’d ever heard in my whole life…" -Slomo
