Anybody else have experience with blowout approaches? I'm thinking today I'm going to hit up the mall and just ask random women to have sex because the more discomfort I put myself through the faster my approach anxiety diminishes. Are blowouts like this good for getting over approach anxiety?

You're going in with the intent of being blown out. That's not going to help you in the least when your goal is to be able to attract women.

for a few straight weeks i did something similar, my opener was/similar to:

hey you're sexy, want to make out?
or
me: i like your outfit
her: thank you
me: want to make out?

never closed but it was great to experiment with and get out of my comfort zone. i would do it again

look at it in another way
understand that the first 8 interactions mean nothing-don't expect anything to happen there. lower expectations...
yet if a girl does accept you(which will probably happen in the 4-5 interaction), stay there as much as you can and move the interaction forward.

remember why you are here(to be able to meet girls, right?). so be focused...don't just do things to say "I did it".

If you want to do something right then you usually don't practice how to do it wrong.
I don't recommend this. You can see on youtube that the results of this is slim to none for a man. for a woman it's 50/50. Youtube asking 100 women to have sex.
I would try to use more proper and appropriate openers for practice. It is a much better way to get over AA. it will also teach you through trial and error what's right so that you can move on to romantic connections.
