So I met a girl at an art gallery, exchanged business cards before we parted ways. I emailed her about her piece at the gallery and we had some back and forth. I added her on Facebook and we talked more. Our conversation end up being more personal. About two weeks in, I ask her out for coffee; she says yes. The day of the date; she asks me if it's ok for her to bring her friend along since they were both shopping before she met me. I just said 'sure." It wasn't that bad of a night, since I also met her friend at the gallery though I never really kept in touch with her. We had fun, but I wish it was a date instead.

What do you guys think? Is this as good as friend zoning? Should I wait it out and freeze her for a couple weeks?

From what it sounds like you still have a chance. Two weeks seems like a long time to wait before asking her out you should be acting sooner than that. Aside from that she still met up with you and assuming you were normal on the date you should be able to set something up again. Escalate kino and maybe try for a kiss next date.

Don't ever agree to have someone else tag along.

Ask her out again. Let her know it'll just be the two of you this time.

Tell her that you want to get together again and setup a meet from there. If she mentions bringing a friend at any point, just tell her that you'll reschedule when it can be just the two of you.
