Approaching a girl at work

I like a challenge but this is proving difficult

Girl at a burger place, 5 guys, she's not even a cashier. She is behind some glass making burgers. I could talk briefly but would be awkward to keep any sort of long conversation going. So far I have been extra chatty with female cashiers and other staff, but not spoken to her directly.

Is this impossible to pull off practically? Any input appreciated.

You'd need to engage her when she's not behind the counter flipping burgers. I can't see yelling at her in front of a restaurant full of people being effective.

There's also the matter of her not knowing you actually exist. That's a barrier which makes this basically a straight-up cold approach.

Figure out when she takes her break. Chat her up then... That'd be my play --- if I were to bother -- (Seems like a lot of work for a cold approach).

Actually she does recognize me, I get a particular lettuce wrap burger each time I come in, she recognizes me and knows my order, so it is not totally cold.

if i was you dude just forget it lol move on

any way i can even think of approaching her would be flat out creepy besides these two

1. start working there (way too much investment on your part for one approach)
2. build mirror exposure (show yourself there enough times and be friends with all the staff)
but since its a burger place you gotta watch your cholesterol lol

if i was you i would move on

You can pick up a woman in any environment. It doesn't matter as long as you are super confident and cool.
I pick up women who are working all the time. They either like you or they don't. WOmen don't give 2 shits about what their boss thinks I've found. Especially if they are hot. But I can't imagine a girl that flips burgers is hot. Why would a hot girl work flipping burgers? Bizarre. Well I live in NYC and the people working in fast food are hideous ogres and usually have criminal records.
