what do you do if a girl puts you on the spot and asks you to rate her based on looks from 1 to 10?

i've had this question popped before and i've never known quite exactly how to respond. usually if the girl is a 7 ill give her an 8.5.

to put a quick spin on this, would it ever be appropriate to to put a girl on the spot and ask her to rate you based on looks? basically opening yourself up for a neg but at the same time getting an idea of how good looking you are to this girl.

I don't know how to react to the first one, however in my opinion asking for a girl's rating on your looks instantly devalues you because:
1. You give a damn about what she thinks about you. You are out there to have fun and be yourself, you don't care if people agree with stuff you do or not. They don't like it, they can leave. Asking for a rating is like saying "is there anything I can do to be better?"
2. You better have a damn witty response to come after that to make her laugh, because I have no idea how would you continue after such a question.

That said, I WOULD ask this question, but only to girls I'm friends with and that I know I can trust on an honest opinion.(read: no intention of hooking up at all).

I would just be honest and say why, I could talk about women beauty for ages. I would do some white lie if she was ugly and I wanted too fuck real bad.

That's just me, without any pick up and gaming intent.

Look them up and down, ponder it, then say "you're not bad, I'd give you a 7", but you have to SMILE/SMIRK while you're doing this to show you're being playful (idea being that you'd really rate her higher than that).

Field tested multiple times.

Of course if the girl is like... below a 7, you may want to consider one of the other answers given here

It's best to be playful and joke about it.

Tell her she's goood and she's 1000 out of 10. Then you can continue with some kind of naughty communication if she accept that kind of joking...

I don't see any reason to be serious with that type of questions, you can't continue any kind of communications after those kind of answers.

Depends on whether you want to sleep with them or not.

I usually don't answer questions like that though; I'll dance around them because I'm not in the business of lying. However; girls usually only ask guys that question who they feel will be dishonest with them. They're seeking the validation. They don't want to know the truth; they just want to feel like they're desired. So unless a girl is SURE she is a 10, she isn't going to ask a guy who's clearly totally honest and genuine such a question. At least I don't think so.

So I think that the fact that you are being asked that question speaks a lot about how attractive these women find your character.

I would just neg her. If shes ballsy enough to ask the question and fishing for compliments i would bring her down a peg.

Just think how many guys has she asked to rate her and how many AFC's will tell her shes a 9/10! if you hit her with that shit your jst the same.
