I'll preface this with the fact that my in-person game is sub-par, but I do well with any medium in which I can lead with my words.
This is a simple fix. Find something in her profile that allows you to say something funny and light-hearted. Act like nothing happened. She will look to you for how to feel about the situation. Show her that she should feel at-ease. Make everything a joke. "God, you look just like this girl I went to high school with
"
If you're not comfortable with that, consider the possibility of reframing the situation. Often, whenever I'm doing something obnoxious, I just retell the narrative with the roles switched. If I'm hitting on a girl and it's failing, when someone walks up, I nonchalantly make fun of her. "Yeah, not bad ... I mean, other than this girl and all her corny lines. It's evident that she wants to get into my pants but has no game." To make sure everyone knows that I'm joking, I am usually a little bit larger than life in my delivery. Wink wink, nudge nudge kind of thing.
Similarly, if you are confident that you're the one who blew her off, consider the option of playfully role playing that she blew you off, and your delicate sensibilities were offended by the very notion. You tried to go back to the store to return the flowers, but they had a no-return policy and everyone in the store laughed at you. Great, I hope you're happy. Now I have to drive 20 minutes to get my groceries because I can't show my face at the Wholefoods by my house. THE HUMANITY!!!!
