Hello everyone! I just heard about this site from a friend and have been lurking for a few days checking it out. My big problems are opening and maybe chronic oneitis. On the rare occasion I can get a good opening closing is rarely a problem but I suck at opens so here I come to learn from the masses! Looking forward to practicing what I read here and hopefully being a contributor of valuable information.

Re: opening, open with whatever is going on around you and the girl. The key is to open with a smooth nonchalant manner and not with a "friends" vibe - the opposite vibe is needed.

Not giving off the lets be friends vibe is the hard part for me. I tend to give off "friends" or ass hole depending on the day. Trying to learn to change it!

Possibly because we are guys and therefore we think logically. A lot of this shit makes almost no logical sense.

I agree, if you can talk to the girl as if you already know her then it helps makes you feel comfortable thus also making the girl feel comfortable as well.
