(insert there is this one girl and she's awesome after only one date etc, etc)

My problem here is timing both in the mid range (both have jobs with odd hours and days) and long range (not sure about her long term status in my area). Factor in the presumption that I'm not the only one talking to her, and all the other just social x-factors.

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts about dealing with many logistical road blocks along with maintaining, I'd settle with just interest, and worry about attraction later. Any tips on staying in touch and keeping things fresh for potential Day's 2s and 3's etc?

Going under the assumption that you didn't have sex on the first date, just keep it light, be busy, be fun, text or call for another meetup.
