Most PUA book's recycle the same material over and over. Most PUA's learned from old self help books and just have a lot of field experience.
The quickest way to get good is to go out. Reading only clutters your mind.

Watch a handful of youtube videos, talk to yourself in a mirror and hold good eye contact with yourself, practice for a few minutes. Go out and start talking to anyone and everyone. Get social and warmed up. Then approach the first cute girl you see. Then keep approaching. For every hour you spend on forums like this you should approach at least 5 girls or sets. At bare minimum. Practice will make you better in a way that tips and tricks just can't.
