I made an earlier post a few weeks ago regarding the idea about starting a selective PUA group/secret society/brotherhood. This idea received a lot of positive feedback, and as such I have decided to make a more official post and explanation of this idea.

Firstly after some research I’ve decided an easier label for this group would be a ‘fraternity’. For those of you aren’t familiar with such, Wikipedia defines a fraternity as “a brotherhood, although the term sometimes connotes a distinct or formal organization and sometimes a secret society. A fraternity (or fraternal organization) is an organized society of men associated together in an environment of companionship and brotherhood; dedicated to the intellectual, physical, moral, religious, and/or social development of its members.” A fraternity is usually associated with North American universities, and many Australians may only know about this concept from famous movies, recently Neighbours, and even websites such as total frat move, but this is the notion I will be going with.

The purpose of this group/fraternity is to create a small, close nit society of guys. This fraternity will generally be based around ‘picking-up’ but is more than just that. It will include everything involved with such, including parting, socialising, attending events, increasing social status, and meeting new social circles etc.

Ideally this group would be able to offer a networking opportunity, meaning we’d:

- Be able to have a wingman whenever needed.
- Mix with new social circles of other members.
- Throw events/parties.
- Attend parties of fellow members.
- Attend events/parties/clubs/pubs with the group/other members.
- Form a sort of brotherhood.
- Eventually have an increased ready-made social life.

I believe this is a great opportunity for most people. But it should be noted that the ideas and notions put forward are extremely brief, and definitely do not represent entirely what this group can and will be!

In terms of members, everyone in the group will have to have some amount of ‘value’ they can offer the group, so there is massive value to all involved. In saying this, the group would have to be fairly selective of whom can be apart to ensure we’d have an awesome social status.

Below is a roughly made criteria to hopefully achieve the aim of the group:

- A male between 18-24
- Have something to offer
- Recognise the cool status notion
- Live in-or-around Sydney (as this would be our central location)
- Be committed to this idea

Below I have adapted also included some questions from a questionnaire used by an Ohio University fraternity in accepting new members. I feel this will be helping in evaluate a prospective member.
