Its been a long time since i posted here. Hows everyone doing?! I Need help rating my Pof about me section. I tried making a cocky/funny straight forward profile but I feel as if i sound to cocky/douchbagy. I've taken some things off online forums and comprised some of my own words to.

I would remove the following "If you can keep up, msg me"

When chicks have that in their profile it annoys me because it gives me the feeling they're qualifying.

Aside from that it's a good profile. Chicks will click because your headline is a double-entendre and like you said it's catchy.

Women are going to read your profile and think, 'Wow - this guy is blunt, honest and tells it like it is.' This is a good thing, as most guys have wussy profiles or come off as B.S.ing.

Your profile states what you want and makes no apologies. Only advice other than the first thing I mentioned is to add more emotion in your profile - maybe briefly go into why you're passionate about taking care of yourself and use some strong description. Like I said, it can be brief but women communicate through emotion and not fact.

Aside from that it's a solid profile. Based on the profile, you will definitely get responses.

Tell why you're passionate about fitness/nutrition. Maybe some family members developed diabetes or some other disease or you know that proper nutrition can keep people off of meds. Something you can briefly show an example of why you're passionate about fitness/nutrition. Paint a picture in a woman's mind so she thinks, 'wow - this guy has a mission to educate and help people and he's making it his life's work'.

Keep the rest of the newer profile though. You'll convey a passionate, driven dude who helps people but also doesn't care what others think and only wants a cool-ass chick who is as driven as he. You're going to kill it with this new profile. If your pics are as strong you will get lots of women writing you who are looking for an exciting man who goes after what he wants.

I'm self motivated, ambitious and very spontaneous. I love nights where I can just stay in and relax after a long days work. Other nights will be filled with random trips to the falls, T.o and wherever else we can think of. I workout often because I love fitness and I think we can avoid a lot of life's health problems by hitting the weights instead of hitting the meds. I'm not really into this whole social networking deal but I want to see what's out there

I smoke weed all day and personally, I've found that leaving it out of my profile is the best bet. Mentioning the weed makes girls assume too much about you I believe. I've found that once they meet me for the date and see that I'm not the sterotypical stoner, then they look past the weed. The last girl got in my car and said "It smells like weed in here." And I was like "Yeah everyone that works with me smokes weed. It's totally normal." That wasn't true, but she believed it and still wanted to be seduced and the date went well.

When my profile said I'm a rapper who likes to smoke herb all day it sounded immature to girls, so they don't take the risk to respond, even if they smoke herb themselves. Last thing they want is some computer programming wanna-be rapper dork with no skills that people make fun of, so why even answer? But when I meet them in person and they hear my songs and see that I'm a badass rapper that smokes herb all day, they think it's hot and start asking me when I'm going to make it big.

I've dated 3 super hot girls that I met on POF. The 3rd one said it smelled like weed in my car, so I have to assume that the first 2 girls smelled it too but didn't say anything. My conclusion-If you can't beat em, join em. Saying the truth that I don't drink and smoke weed all day got me no dates. Putting that I drink socially and not mentioning the weed got me dates with HB-9's and 10's. One was a nurse who would never smoke herb, but I still got the f-close without much effort.

Although, not everything is black and white, so if you happen to be a special case, like if you have pics of you hanging with Snoop Dogg using a $100 bill to roll a blunt, and mention that you are working on an album with Wiz Kahlifa, you'll probably get responses. Otherwise, I doubt it.

Good response back. I like your idea but I hate it at the same time. I want a girl who smokes weed that's the whole point to the catchy headline. Idk it's a really touchy situation. I don't like it at all. The whole cocky thing is okay for meeting someone in person, but now you're online where women can pick and choose. You workout? There's a hundred guys just like you. You're physically attractive? There's a hundred guys just like you. You don't want a control freak? If you're a man, you won't have to worry about that anyways.

What you need to do is try to evoke emotions in your profile. Sell her the dream. Online dating is unnatural, so it's going to follow unnatural social conventions. You can be a dick in person and as long as your charming you can get away with it, but if you try to sell yourself as a dick online she's going to reject you. So your profile should come off as charming but advertise the qualities that women find mentally attractive.

Stuff like that doesnt work man. That profile might work on paid sites such as match.com or lavalife but not on Pof. Not for me anyways. I think the cockiness works well and i've gotten more responses from this then having a profile where i presented myself w high value. I agree its missing something tho and that might be a section talking about more about me and reassuring my value before engaging in the cocky remarks

I don't use paid sites but I haven't had any issues with this working on POF. Here's the problem. Women read these profiles and they add inflections to your voice because they have no reference. So while you don't try to come across too cocky, she'll take it however her mind has interpreted it. You can't give the sly smile while saying something cocky. You say you don't want certain things in a woman, you can end up sounding like an asshole in her head.

If you've been on any of the forums, you know that there are certain attributes that women want in a real man. You sell those attributes to her...don't say that you don't want a control freak, describe yourself as man that demands respect from a woman and in return she'll get that same respect. Don't say you don't want a girl who doesn't work out, say you want a girl who will go to the gym with you and can appreciate eating healthy. You're saying the same things, but you end up coming across more attractive.

Don't underestimate the power of sounding intelligent. Women tend to leave the free sites because they are getting what they pay for.

Yeah I smoke weed often but I also work 2 jobs doing around 50-60 hr weeks so I think I'm entitled to some fun I'm not really into this whole social networking deal but I want to see what's out there

Brother Brother...I'm so glad I joined this forum today theres alot to cover. First scrap this entire profile. You need to consider a few things.

1. Women don't care that you lift weights. You're basically admitting to be a dumbell. I pick stuff up and put it down.
2. Every part of this profile screams psycho roid head. Check it my man on one hand your saying fitness to stay healthy and avoid meds, but the next sentence is you smoke weed. wtf bro
3. Your self motivated, ambitous blah blah blah next sentence you stay home and relax watching movies smoking weed no less. Get where I'm coming from???
