So no one read my other post but it was very long so that's understandable. Long story short I have known this girl for a couple of years and have always liked her although she always had a boyfriend...until recently. We were talking through text a week ago and she told me: "haha I'm officially single. I took this as a sign and jumped on the opportunity saying "Ok then we're going for sushi this weekend" she agreed. We never ended up going for sushi as the place we wanted to go to was closed. The date went well, she even said next time we have to go for sushi, although I failed to make a move, other than that I felt it went smoothly. What is irritating me is our communication after the date. Here is some of our texts after the date.

Me: Hope you had fun last night!

Steph: I did thanks :)

Me: We have to go for sushi for next time I want to try that Tapinaki

Steph: Aha ok :) :) sounds good to me lolll

Me: We won't trust the GPS next time though lol

Steph: Lol I know right AHAHHAHAHA

Basically in this convo I am still worried if she sees this as a friendly outing and also the "lolll" is irritating me I don't know why. Also after that last text from her I just stopped responding, I heard it was a good technique.

Now! Last night at around 11pm I texted her. Here is how it went it's brutal.

Me: So what sort of trouble did you cause today?

Steph: Haha none at all I worked 8 hours ahah you?

Me: Work for me today too, pretty long day. So you must have had a lot of tea then? (She works at a tea shop)

Steph: Awh nice any progress,? And lol actually no :$ lots of water though

Me: It's looking like it, big meeting tomorrow with Canon Canada, are you working tomorrow too?

Steph: That's awesome and no I'm off tomorrow

Me: Finally a break lol nice

Me again: I find work takes so much longer since I quit smoking lol

and...no response. I feel like I fckd up big time, maybe lost her interest, talking about myself too much? I really don't know. 30 minutes later she sends me a snapchat of her and one of her friends (a girl) watching a movie in the dark at her friends house. She sent this random video to me but didn't even respond to my text I don't get it.

Anyways I want to ask her out again for Saturday. How should I text her any tips or anything are welcome as I feel I am really lacking these skills of good openers and making her feel attraction through text. thank you.

Hey mate,

I'm by no means an expert. But from what I'm reading it doesn't seem like your texting game is all that bad. I read them and they seemed personable, you seem like you're just casually chatting and you don't seem like you're creepily trying to get with her.

But!!! You had the opportunity to show how you felt in person. Just by you texting her she isn't going to read that you are interested in her. You can't escalate over the phone, you should have escalated on the date or at least showed that you were interested.

From what I'm reading, you might have been friend zoned.

But don't be disheartened. I'd try and see her in person again and have another crack at it. Don't worry about her not texting back, always assume it's because she's busy and not because she's being malicious. People are generally nice and if they don't reply it's rarely for a pre-mediatated reason.

Hey mate I'm gonna tell you right now CUT OUT MEANINGLESS TEXT CONVOS!!!!!! There's nothing absolutely nothing there that sets you apart from any other guy she may be talking to!! Use text only for setting up dates if you wanna talk to her call her have a strong sensual convo with her keep it light.

Think of it like this you're texting her what you just texted her there's really nothing there to excite her. Then I call her have a 1/2 hour convo with her create attraction keep it sensual light funny exciting then end it on a high note with her wanting more, and the next day you text her asking to go for sushi and I text her saying hey let's for sushi at such and such place 8 work for you? Who do you think she's more likely to go with?

I'm not saying don't ever engage in text banter I do from time to time, but if you're going to keep it light sensual and funny be someone she wants to talk to.

Hope that helps good luck!!

Your text messages are painful. I don't mean they're bad really... they're just missing ANY kind of fun or enthusiasm. You're texting for no reason.

Like I probably wouldn't reply to you either... why? Because you have nothing to say or ask her, but you're doing it anyway. Question after question... after question... after question - all about nothing.

From what you've written here, I don't think this is a lost cause or anything. But you do need to cut down on the texting for absolutely no reason at all.

You made a mistake by not escalating on the date. You NEED to do this or you'll just throw yourself in the friendzone. Hold her hand or kiss her next time (or both... or MORE if you can), or else, yeah - that'll be it for you and this girl probably.

Don't tell her you like her either - (seriously, don't...) - SHOW HER.
