Just putting this out there for any feedback + suggestions.... Number closed a cute HB8 Girl the other night. I began texting her in a true AFC Fashion. This was honestly how I was feeling at the time as although I got this girls number I wasn't really 100 percent sure I'd made a good enough impression....something along the lines of

"Hey Jess, its Phil from Laverys on Friday =) How are you keeping? Listen, I really liked talking to you the other night -- thought you were funny, intelligent and rather cute. I remember saying you lived near me and was wondering if you fancied going out for a drink sometime? I think you said you were going on holiday soon so told me to get in touch with you. However, if you aren't interested for whatever reason, thats OK, I won't take it personally. Phil"

Looked back at this and realized "WTF?" thats AFC as f*ck.... so decided to readjust it to be more cocky + confident....

"Hey Jess, its Phil from Laverys on Friday =) How are you keeping? Here, I found your banter surprisingly enjoyable the other night -- You conveyed a good sense of humour, intelligence & you were VERY sexy -- even if you are from fermanagh I remember saying you lived near me and was wondering when you fancied hanging out?... Before you fell drunkingly on your backside infront of me as you were leaving (classy lady-like exit btw...you totally didn't embarrass yourself. At all. No really) You managed to string together a coherent sentence about getting in touch with you before you went away or something. Lemme know. x"

Your message needs to be shorter... Not a novel... More to the point. It's really not all that funny, currently, either - but I think that's what you're trying for.

Do you have an issue calling her on the phone instead? Might be better... If you'd rather text, try something like:

"Hey you, it's Phil from Friday night! Wanted to see how you were after that awesome night - we drank SO much! I had a great time though (from what I remember), particularly after the clown and the midget arrived! Anyway, I'm thinking of grabbing a drink tomorrow after work at X place, and I suppose I wouldn't completely object to seeing your face again... Care to join?"
