I want to know a way around this. When they greet me and such, I really don't know what to do. i don't want to run openers, and routines, but at the same time, I want to be able to practice push-and pull and such.

Heres a common situation:
Girl: "hey, how are you doing?"

Me: "great/good/awesome"

and you pretty much can go anywhere from there.
Usually, I'm transitioning from classroom to classroom so i don't know how I plan to do switch this boring ass conversation to a fun and interesting 30 sec to 2 minute conversation.

In other words, i blank out because I'm not using openers and routines

You don't need to use "routines" and "openers" and stuff if you don't need to. Those are good for cold approaches, but for your situation, just be funny, use kino, neg, be playful. You want to trigger all the same attraction switches, but do it by being yourself and demonstrating that you're something she should be interested in, instead of using canned stuff to do it.

Canned stuff is great for cold approaches and they can teach you a lot about social dynamics and what you are really doing to attract a girl, then once you learn that stuff, you use principles behind pickup to attract them without running game in any sort of patterned way.

openers are openers because they are interesting and get girls to talk... so if ur conversations are boring, say an opener, its that easy.
