Something I was reading on Chateau Heartiste the other day, and which really jives with me is using a ridiculous childish insult.

If a girl is like, "Sorry, I can't meet up today..."


A good response might be, "Fine, I bet you have cooties anyway".


It's obviously meant to be funny - no girl who is a native English speaker isn't going to get it. You may not get the date that night about it, but it can lead to a fruitful dialog at least.

As far as most women are concerned, they are only liable for what they say out loud, even if the context is clear. If you call a girl out on flaking, she's just going to think "why is he so mad i couldn't make it out?" Even if you somehow knew for a fact that she just didn't want to see you.

Everybody has lives, stuff comes up. I generally say Okay to one flake, and after two stop contacting her to make plans.
