So I have a pretty good idea of most things the art of picking up consists of. But I find myself doing what I know what to do... then stalling and my mind races to grasp the correct action or words I am supossed to be giving. I think my biggest problem is the transitions between each tactic. Like how do I go from an opener to a conversation and how do I know when to touch a girl or where. I want to be able to have sexual tension between a female with these tactics.. but I haven't gotten a step by step answer. Which would be nice...

There is no step by step answer. All those things are a matter of experience. Firstly, go out more. If your head is racing, then that is the only thing to address right now. If you practice, eventually you will be relaxed and from there your other issues largely resolve themselves.

You're trying to employ technique and are stuck in your head. You have no faith in being you, you sell yourself short and seize up when push comes to shove because you feel inadequate being you.

Pickup is a lifestyle that is supposed to be natural. You're using it as a "tactic" and that is obviously what's wrong. I'd encourage you to spend more time experiencing and trying out stuff instead of sitting and reading tons of books.

Look at it from an overhead perspective rather than individual tactics. The goal is to get the #/instant date/pull from the club or whatever your goal is. Go in, get some sparks going, exchange some info about eachother, tell her you have to run but want to continue it sometime, take the #.

Tactics are fine but they need to be put in their place; try not to let them overwhelm your game.

Secondly if you're in your head during the pickup you are likely not in state. Try not to overanalyze the interactions before, during or immediately after them. The time for analysis is some point when you're not in the field.

Focus on getting comfortable with each successive step. Transition as soon as you can after the opener. I like to say, "Wow, you're really friendly, where are you from?" and build a commonality based on what they say or ask them about something interesting from where they are from. An average conversational sentence has at least two topics you can segway off of. Practice building off of the conversation with statements then following up with a relevant question. Then practice breaking rapport to build attraction, then qualifying her to have her investing, then escalating to solidify attraction up to the kiss close, then solving logistics, then pulling, then overcoming LMR (if there is any.)
