Banter w girl at the gym

I think my approach will be to just chat with her here and there without over reaching (e.g., not going to a completely diff side of the gym just to talk to her, but rather open her if she's near me). I'll build the comfort I'm new to her. I have been described by a few girls I know as potentially intimidating as I'm what you'd considered pretty ripped and a good size asked on the regular if I compete - usually I can use this to easily to invite them to train with me which I've done w several girls in the past including the ex. I'm in the gym about 6 days a week too and I've seen more than a few girls I'm attracted to (this gym is crazy in terms of the amount of attractive female members).

I know to some it may sound like i'm playing it safe but keep in mind in a testerone filled place such as a gym girls are used to being ogled over, and hit on so my strategy has always been to fly in under the radar and build comfort. My sense of humor is a bit on the darker/dry whit side so that in itself is usually enough to build on sexual tension. Working out with them and incidental touching is fine, but I can tell this girl's training is pretty regimented and she knows what she's doing. My gut though is telling me to talk with her some more and even being around her and not interacting is fine sometimes too (sometimes it's just about working out and staying focused). So this will be my M.O. and I'll engage with other girls too of course irrespective of what happens here.

Today I got the hint she wanted to cut the interaction short; she told me she's not really 'there' (like absent minded today), and that she had to move fast because she was meeting some friends shortly after her workout so was constrained for time. At that moment since I was leaving anyway I told her I'd leave her to her workout and I peaced out.

wow @ your past relationship. I know it's tough I've been through a toxic relationship which is what lead me to Pick-Up. Thank god for her because she brought me down to rock bottom and motivated me to become the man I am today.

Honestly I wouldn't mess around for too long. The gym is tough because you're both there to focus on a workout, you never know if she's gonna switch her schedule up etc etc.

I would go in for her number sooner than later. If she has some interest in you she should be interested in coffee. Low commitment... could be a short date but if things go well you could really hit it off.

I felt she kept the interactions short, but that can mean she's there to workout, or lack of interest etc. She doesn't know me and I'm not all that invested so if it happens it happens, build rapport over time while being playful as I normally am. If she bites she bites, if not that's fine too there'll be other opportunities with other women. Right now my focus is on myself, getting over the last vestiges of my last relationship which i allowed to drag my self-esteem into the gutter. It wouldn't feel 'natural' to just ask this current girl out, The exchanges have been too brief, I at least would want to get into a longer convo with her find out some other interests outside the gym and vibe with her on those, use those as a spring board to get her out.

Yea I do know I am being tentative, but any movement is better than sitting still.

My energy is still a little off; I can't take long interactions with people like I used to, I tune out, or get self-conscious etc. It will take me some time to find my footing/grounding again. It could even take another 5 months or more to fully get over the past train wreck I escaped.

This is a good and natural process for you man. The best thing is you are out engaging with girls. Your game will definitely improve to your previous levels and beyond with time. Continue to be kind to yourself.

Thanks for the support. I'm still super reactive when I bump into the ex (around town), get jarred a bit when I receive "no caller ID" calls as I did yesterday (police usually block their #), Quite literally there were several traumas in that relationship and rather than being impatient about where I m at now, I know the only way forward is to slowly push through the comfort zone a bit, while at the same time being compassionate towards myself - it's a delicate balance of the two.

Damn bro agree w game I think u got this one In the bag!!! I also got of a LTR 6 yrs semi toxic and damn, ain't looking back I guess I got you guys here to help me!!!! Lol now if u talk once or more twice to her this is My suggestion and this is what I would do. Catch her on a break ask her if she has a minute to talk. Ask her out to an informal lunch. U could say its to meet and talk nutrition and work out regiments (playing it safe.) or u can be honest and say I think you're cool and well probably get along etc. the other plan id have which is wayyyyy more invasive and creepy is see when she leaves. Leave somehow one day at the sametime with her. If she has a car your fucked. If not offer her a ride or take a cab/ train home w her and see if she wants to grab a bite to eat. Tell her your on a new diet where you need to ingest protein every hr on the hr and want some company! Lol that way she can't say NO! Update us on her or the other fine broads at the gym! =D
