Same thing just happened to me, i've been crazy for this 7 blonde for 2 years, i'm a senior now and we just had a little fling, but she wanted just friends. I broke off from her and told her that i can't be just a friend if she's gonna pidgeonhole me into that situation. She texted me the next day and came up to me in school the other day for the most inane reasons.
Once they figure out how much they miss you once you're gone, they should come back to you. When you end things, make it known that they'll need to come to you to restart things.

Develope an arrogant attitude. Like if someone says you look good just say "I know." Seems simple and pointless, but it will turn into confidence. Never deny being an asshole and be one with a smile. Just don't interupt the flow if things start to go well. I did and I kick myself for it often.

I think it would be a little too sudden for somebody who is percieved as a "nice guy". Dont get me wrong, you got the right overall idea, but it needs to happen slowly. If change so suddenly, she might question your true personality.
