Hey guys. I'm planning to call and ask a girl out I met at a bar. Been texting a bit. But now I want to call and ask her out. Can anyone give me some advice on how to do this? Like should I make small talk for a bit? Or is there a good way of asking her out that has a higher chance of working. Like anything to say In particular? Thx a lot!

dont bother calling her - some chicks don't like talking to guys they just met over the phone anymore

dont use small talk, think of texting as only as a tool to get to meet her again, not build comfort, not break rapport or not sexually escalate, ONLY to get a day 2, dont make the texts too long either

you: "hey rockstar"
her: "hey how are you?"
you: "amazing! what do you like doing downtown ?"
her: "I like going to ____"
you: "nice, what is your schedule like this week ?"
her: "i'm free tuesday and friday"
you: "how about friday at (place she listed) 9pm - sound good ?"

follow up 3 hours before date

and if you met her in a bar its best to meet back up with her nighttime somewhere like another bar. if you have any other questions feel free to pm me about this!

I disagree with this. I think calling is a good idea.

Banter a bit for a few mins - make some jokes, ask about her day, etc... Then say "so listen, I'm going to X place on X day at X time and I think you should join me - it'll be fun"

If she says yes, you're good...

If she says no, she can't - and proposes an alternate time, you're good...

If she says no, sorry - then you may want to soft next her, or try again in a week... (but not after a second flat-out 'no').
