I met a girl online and we started dating for a couple of weeks. The first time we met I took her out for coffee and then by our local lake to talk. On the fourth date I was able to finally get it in and we had some great sex...We both had a lot in common and had very similar tastes in certain things. I thought everything was going great because we were nothing serious and just doing the dating thing...

A little back story about me...Before I met this girl I had on my profile that I will be moving across the country for a job in about 3 months...she knew that and had no problem fooling around with me still...The only thing was that she wanted us to keep it monogamous and asked if I was seeing or talking to anyone else at that time. I said no and she said the same also.

We had been dating for about a month and a half at this point and on a Tuesday I said we should meet up for the weekend to hang out. She complied and was excited...or so it seemed. The next day I was on Facebook and I notice that she changed her status to "in a relationship". I was caught blind sided and was very confused...I didn't message her or anything. I just deleted her from FB and her number because we weren't even serious and I honestly couldn't care less.

Two days pass and she sends me a text saying, "Sorry Ben, I really liked you and I still do but you were moving away so it just wasn't our time, please don't be mad at me."....I still didn't text back because I just didn't care...2 weeks pass and I get a random text from her at midnight saying, "I am sorry for texting you so late but I had to tell you this. I was starting to fall for you and I got attached way too fast it was terrifying. I would have moved with you if you would have asked me but I know it was too crazy. I started dating this other person because I didn't want to be rejected by you...You had my heart Ben, and I let you go. I am so sorry."

My head was filled with fuck after that text and I just can't piece the logic together. I responded back that she is pathetic and to have a good one...Does anyone have an explanation for this type of behavior or what I could have done to keep on fucking her? I was let down because she was going to be my summer lay but got away before I flew away...

This! She wanted something serious and give you your heart ... you didnt care though. She wanted love and affection and you a fuckbuddy. Thats the problem here. Otherwise you should have communicated it that way and did real man talk. You could have told her: I like you very much but at this moment I cant think of myself in a serious relationship I am sorry. But I would like to continue it this way and we fit together realy good.
