PUAs, I was out with two good looking Mexican friends at a nice club.
I talked to this Asian 9 and I tried the opinion on ex girlfriend opener. She seemed interested, but then the only thing I could think of was "What's your name" and then she didn't seem very interested.

Another Latin 8 came up to me (!!!!) and said How're you doing. I told her she had nice hair (it was curly) and it reminded me of my dog. She then asked me what my dogs breed was and she told me about hers. But then I asked her about what she did and how long she'd been in the country. I followed that up with two boring questions.

Where do I go from here? I don't have issues talking to girls but I don't know how to keep up the conversation. Please help. This happens to me too often, and I usually get friendzoned.

I'd also suggest leaving the negs at the door.

Focus on teasing affectionately for sure, but don't have focus on negs... They're just awful things designed for women with self-esteem issues.

But yeah man, you've asked an incredibly broad question for which anyone could give you a 1000 word answer and still only cover a small section.

Do some research first, try some things. Fail on those things, then let us help you get them right.

Keeping a conversation alive requires lots of practice. You need to put some effort making up stories of your own, and if asking questions, make them open ended. Try to find topics that both of you are interested in. Movies is usually a safe card to play, almost everybody enjoys talking about movies. Practice this on everyone you meet, man or woman.

You need to find topics that both of you can relate to. If the girls starts talking about something you can't relate to, either change the subject or try to learn something new by asking questions.

If you run out of things to say right after the opener, you have made a bad approach IMO. You have approached the girl just for the sake of picking her up, trying to get something from her rather than give, and you have done so without even knowing if she is someone you have any chemistry with. If that becomes too obvious, she will reject you.

If your mindset is to just have fun, be open and social, you will give people a good time without expecting anything in return. That makes them feel good around you, and no one will ever reject you. As you just mingle around, chatting with everybody, you will never get stuck in a single interaction, and your problem will go away almost by itself.
