I would like some opinions on this opener that a buddy and i tried. I was the wing as we approached the girls from the front, a little off to the side.

My buddy starts it off by saying "Hey, we've got a bit of a social experiment that we want to try. What is the worst pickup line that you've ever heard?" The girls start off by saying a couple really awful ones... the kind you hear from these supposed self help doctors. We add a few more of our own to the mix and by this time the girls are sitting around us on all sides, touching us and everyone is laughing up a storm.

Overall the night went really fantastic and we had a great time.

Here's a golden rule.

Do what women respond to. Not what they say they want. Two different things. The women responded well.

The opener worked because it was congruent to your personalities. "We threw in some of our own..."
You guys kept it fun and everyone laughed.
