I have to say that I have tried about 30 direct approaches on the street and I got about 4 numbers and they were all flake. I also get a lot of "I have a bf" comments from the girls. And tbh I just think there reason why is that I only approach REALLY hot girls, and with these girls it comes across as desperate and weird because they are so used to guys drooling over them. As soon as they here "I just thought you look stunning" or whatever you say, they think "oh no not another one" and they think you look like another desperate looser trying to get some.

Now whether this is true or not doesn't matter, the point is that's how it seems to her. At the end of the day, if you feel the need to tell a girl on the street that she is stunning then you give off the vibe that you don't have any girls in your life already, because MOST guys that can already get lots of girls through his social circle or in clubs won't be doing this. Now, maybe you are an exception to this, I know I am. I do get girls already and yet I STILL feel the urge to approach girls that walk past me. But I think from the hot girl's point of view, it looks like you are desperate as soon as you tell her how good she looks, even if your just horny.

With the really hot girls I think the best thing by far is funny situational openers, and the second best thing is functional. They don't even have to be that funny at all, but even a bit of humour shows you are a happy and approachable person with a sense of humour. It comes across as much more natural and friendly and a lot less desperate. It doesn't look like you are on some kind of mission to get laid which seems desperate, and just seems like you are spontaneous and friendly, confident and funny.

I know a lot of guys say that direct openers show a lot of confidence and so are attractive because of that, but that weirdness/desperation outways the attraction in my opinion. You can show a lot of confidence in funny situational openers and in functional openers if you use a bit of humour and move the conversation on (eg. have you got the time please? One of these days I'll actually remember to charge my phone fully before I leave the house, haha. Oh nice watch, was that a present from your boyfriend of from yourself?)

Fucking kills it with HB8/9/10's and all he uses are direct openers. That's it. You should check out his course "Daygame Domination" not that it sounds like you need it but to watch a pro in action how he transitions from direct opener into natural conversation, quickly beefing value back up after giving the compliment etc. is worth it. I'm not here to flog his course just sayin it's worth a look if you're that interested.

I would be nice to be able to use direct openers for times when I can't think of a situational or functional one. I haven't seen his videos yet but I feel that he is doing well despite of the direct openers rather than because of them. In other words, it is other things that help him get the girl like dominance, confidence, humour, showing value etc and that the direct opener still comes across as a bit creepy but he had enough of these other attributes to overcome that. I think he could have even more success of he just used funny situational openers rather than direct because I confess across as so natural.
